We are updating YouGov Pulse.
In order to access the updated version of Pulse and keep earning points, you must first uninstall the YouGov Pulse app and reinstall it on your device. This article will show you how to uninstall the app from both a Windows desktop device and a MAC desktop device.
Windows desktop
Step 1 – To uninstall the desktop app, open the control panel and select “Uninstall a program” from the “Programs” section.
Step 2 – On the next window you will see a list of all your installed programs. From the list, double-click on YouGov Pulse (or right-click and select uninstall) to bring up the uninstallation wizard.
Step 3 – Click “Uninstall” and wait for the program to finish uninstalling. The app will then be removed from your computer.
NOTE: Data collection will now stop from your YouGov Pulse app. However, if you also have the Pulse Firefox browser extension, you will also need to manually uninstall and reinstall it.
MAC desktop
Step 1 – Open the Pulse app.
Step 2 - Select the app icon in the menu bar.
Step 3 - Click “Quit”.
Step 4 – Once you have quit the YouGov Pulse app, open “Applications”.
Step 5 – Locate the YouGov Pulse app icon.
Step 6 - Drag the YouGov Pulse app icon into the “Trash” app. This can be done with or without the “Trash” app open.
Step 7 – With the YouGov Pulse app now in the trash, empty the Trash app in order to ensure that Pulse is fully uninstalled.
