What devices can I use to complete the ID verification process?

You can complete ID verification using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, provided your device has internet access and a camera or a webcam. This is because you will be asked to upload a photo of your ID document and take a selfie. 

You can complete the entire process on a single device, or use multiple devices. For example, you can start the ID verification task on a desktop or laptop and then switch to a smartphone or tablet to capture and upload your ID document and selfie.

ID verification can also be completed through the YouGov mobile app. However, if your preferred language is not supported by Yoti, you may need to use the YouGov web dashboard.

What documents are accepted to verify my identity?

Accepted documents may vary by country. Yoti will show you the identification documents that can be used for verification when you begin the ID verification process.

Are there alternative ways to verify my identity?

No. For security and privacy reasons, identity verification can only be completed through Yoti. YouGov does not accept or process identity documents directly. 

What changes will I see in my account after successfully verifying my account?

Once your identity has been successfully verified, you will see a Verified indicator next to your account in the dashboard.
